I must say I have always neglected online coursework during my undergrad studies. My Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology was a lot of hands on work and I loved the program at Cal State Bakersfield. I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and a minor in Sports Management. I spent the next few years getting more experience in my field.
In 2013, I made a commitment to myself that I would find the right Masters Program in Kinesiology and advance in my career. I decided to apply to Fresno Pacific University. I felt it was was on God's timing, not mine.
I thought the admissions process was a test of my will and patience. If I were admitted then it meant I was truly qualified. Once I got admitted, I became eager, excited and determined to excel. I got transferred from an emphasis in Sports Administration over to Physical Education into Summer 2014. God's plan is different than mine.
So far, I've adapted well to online learning. I've learned a lot in both of my graduate school summer courses. Technology in Kinesiology has opened my eyes to a broad spectrum of abilities I didn't know were possible. I've become much more techy than I ever imagined. I always thought of developing a fan page, personal website and personal podcast but I just never did. I can't believe this program has been nothing but a blessing for me.
Glad to share this experience with you.
